About Me

Born in the upper jaw bone of Dairyland, I grew up catching fish and mud bogging and grilling burgers at the family cookout. Eventually, I moved out, picked up a couple degrees in math and physics, and spent the next decade meandering the Midwest, making stops to code up frontends, backends, foo-bars, widgets, and everything in between. A captivating segment of systems training brought me into the realm of cybersecurity, which remains my occupational focus to this day.

I reside in New York City with my wife, child, and cat. They mostly keep me out of trouble, but sometimes I sneak off for a bit of writing. That's when I fire up the neurodivergent processor core and clack conceptions into the keyboard. My writing aims to conjure up a mix of excitement, thoughts, and emotions. I gravitate to topics mentioned, as well as the mechanics of mind, self-sufficiency, overreliance on automation, substance abuse, and the conviction that people from every walk of life deserve respect and dignity.
