About Me

I grew up in rural northwestern Wisconsin, where I developed a lifelong love of the outdoors. After earning degrees in mathematics and physics, I spent more than a decade in software engineering before moving into cybersecurity.

That background informs my interest in technology, automation, manipulation, and the systems people build around them. My fiction tends toward upmarket speculative fiction, psychological and techno-thrillers, and social horror, usually with a little dark humor.

I also write from lived experience with recovery and neurodivergence. I'm especially interested in the mechanics of the mind, self-sufficiency, overreliance on automation, and the conviction that people from every walk of life deserve respect and dignity.

I live in New York City with my wife, child, and cat.
